Any blogging sites other than wordpress or blogger?and which is the better one blogger or wordpress?
Both suck to the extent that people have started questioning their worth here.....lol
Reply:Both have their pros and cons:





For example, blogger provides Captcha for comments, which is not available in Wordpress. But Wordpress gets into search results of google, blogger is included only in Google blog search.





So, the final decision has to be made keeping in mind the purpose of blogging.





As far as other blogging sites are concerned, there are 360, LiveJournal, Etc. You can search through Google for blogging sites.

Reply:Blogger is web-side and you can only customize it based on what they give you on their web site.





Wordpress (version I use is free) on the other hand allows you to completely customize how you want your site to look like. With a little patience and the affinity to learn, you can create really nice Wordpress themes and widgets. Their built-in theme CSS editor is a nice touch. Wordpress is downloadable of course.

I've never used Blogger for blogging, but often commented on Blogger powered we sites. I dislike that whenever I comment, I get sent to a new page where the post is not displayed, only the existing comments.





Wordpress, as in using wordpress.com is OK, thought the free version doesn't let you customize much (as is the case for all such sites).





For my own site, I use the wordpress script (the same that they use on wordpress.com), and am so far quite satisfied with it. Well the coding is a bit too bloated for my taste... but for a total beginner it's fine.
