What's the difference between a blotter and a blogger?

A blogger blogs about favorite websites, people, etc. A blotter blots out things...
What's the difference between a blotter and a blogger?
I'm assuming a blotter is one who blots and a blogger is one who blogs. Blotting sounds like a painting term.... blogging is maintaining a blog on the internet.

A blogger is a person who uses a blog. One could stand for several inanimate objects, the other is a person using a blog. There ya go.
