What is blog, and who is a blogger?

Blogs are web logs that are updated regularly, usually on a daily basis. They contain information related to a specific topic. In some cases blogs are used as daily diaries about people's personal lives, political views, or even as social commentaries. The truth of the matter is that blogs can be shaped into whatever you, the author, want them to be.

Where Did Blogs Come From?

The roots of blogging can be traced back to the mid 1990's. Who the very first blogger actually was is unclear, as the art of blogging did not really take hold until 1999. The original "weblogs" were link-driven sites with personal commentaries. The very first blogs were human guided Internet web tours. While initially thought of as diaries or online journals, blogs have evolved into the latest fresh web content.

What is blog, and who is a blogger?
A blog is a type of web site, commonly used an online journal of a person's thoughts. This perspective is expressed with text, video, music, photos, and etc. People typically read blogs out of curiosity about other people's lives and opinions. The specific definition of a blog is still up for debate - as it has more uses than just an online diary. YAHOO BLOGGING:

1) I use Yahoo! 360 (http://360.yahoo.com/kee_y360 ), which is a social-networking service that features a blog. Since you have a Yahoo ID you can create a 360 space as well. It is not well-supported though, but the blogging components of 360 will be migrated to the Yahoo! Profile soon (http://profile.yahoo.com ).

Go to http://360.yahoo.com . Click the "Get Started" on the far right section of that page. After completing the activation process, click the "Yahoo! 360 Home" link on the upper right corner of that page or the 360 main page to enter the space. For more details on how to set up elements of your 360 space, see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/ . Keep in mind that 360 is a beta service, so there are many bugs. If you have problems, check the Answers area or click on my avatar and scroll down to click on my "Starred Questions" tab.

2) There is also Yahoo! Shine, which is a blogging service geared toward women. See http://shine.yahoo.com/page/about/ for details.

Go to http://shine.yahoo.com . See the right side of the page and click on the "My Blog" link under your personalized area. There are "Manage My Blog" and "Write New Post" links at the top left of that page.
