Once you've signed up for an Google account and created a blogger page your blog will appear on blogspot.com under the name that you give it. You can personalize you page and add features that you like to it. Not long ago they have also added gadgets that you can put on you page that can be used for more social networking. You can show who is following your blog and what blogs you follow as an example.
If you post your interests in your blogger profile you can follow the links and find others with the same interest, favorite book, artist and so on.

Can they do this without repercussions? They took bits and pieces of my email conversation with them and posted it on their blog, mentioning my full name several times in a bad light, what should I do? They did this without my permission.

Send them and their ISP a DMCA violation notice. The sender of an e-mail automatically owns a copyright on the e-mail and thus the e-mail cannot be redistributed without permission from the author.

They could only get in trouble if they had secured the email without the consent of the parties involved. Since they're one of the parties they basicly gave themselves permission.

I'm looking for opinions on blogger space. Which are the most user friendly sites?
I'm pretty new to blogging even though I spend a decent amount of time online whether it is for my job, personal research, shopping, email or whatever. I'm thinking of doing some of my personal journaling online. I had previously used easyjournal.com and found that many times when I want to view past entries it sends an error message and it takes a few tries to get it to work. Also, you have to pay a fee to upload photos and use other features. I'm thinking that I may start private and then move on to inviting other friends to view my entries and respond or contribute. What are your favorite sites that offer space? I've only recently taken a brief tour of eblogger.com and that looked intriguing. Thanks for opinions and input!

In Wordpress you can go to Tools%26gt;Export and download all of you posts to a file that you should be able to upload to Blogger. Im not a Blogger user so Im not sure where the option is but Im pretty sure they would have one. You would just click Import and then select the exported file you just saved to your computer and then Blogger should handle the rest.

I have a question related to ranking of a Blogger based on the number of posts in the Blogspot. If I decided to talk about Computer and my header if for example Computer repair. Migrating from Blogger to Word Press?
I have a small but growing blog of about 80 posts but Blogger doesn't seem to have all of the functionality and flexibility I need. I would appreciate anyone who has made the transition sharing your experiences were and let me know if it was worth it. Any tips to make it the process smoothed would also be greatly appreciated.

I know how to post pictures to blogger blog but i want to know it it is possible to post pictures and store them at the side bar ( example under the title "picture". The "Template" part of your Dashboard has the updated code but even when you Republish, Blogger simply does not update that new code! That's happened to my blog many times. I am very unhappy with Blogger and at that point, I usually save all my posts and re-start the entire blog from scratch. Give up to a week for it to update... sometimes you'll get lucky.

I think you should set up a blogger's blog and add 5-10 pages of good unique self written content on it and only then you should register for adsense. That eliminates the risk of google rejecting your blog.
Then bring visitors by commenting on other blogs and forums and leaving your link behind. Don't forget to make at least 5 posts (pages) everyday to have a sustaining adsense income flow. And gradually add to the number of blogs you have every month by making at least two blogs and adding posts to them regularly. In this way your adsense income will increase itself many folds. If you are not a good writer you can find similar topics on the internet and write it on your own words. Never put duplicate content, google adsense is too smart and it will cancel your account if it finds you doing that.

I am a student and i am doing a research regarding the right to privacy

Here's the problem...different countries have different traditions when it comes to freedom of speech. The Internet doesn't have a government; it isn't a sovereign country to make laws. It is simply the medium, the wall upon which we paste our posters and slogans.
Americans have more freedom in what we stick up on that wall than Egyptians do, apparently. I believe every nation will eventually have to face the fact that they cannot completely control instantaneous electronic communication...we are still working our way through all the implications here. Here's the problem...different countries have different traditions when it comes to freedom of speech. The Internet doesn't have a government; it isn't a sovereign country to make laws. It is simply the medium, the wall upon which we paste our posters and slogans.
Americans have more freedom in what we stick up on that wall than Egyptians do, apparently. I believe every nation will eventually have to face the fact that they cannot completely control instantaneous electronic communication...we are still working our way through all the implications here. I also believe that a large helping of discretion on the part of individual bloggers is always in order.

2. I'm glad that our founding fathers had enough insight to write "Separation of Church and State" into our Constitution. The reason that religion should not dictate law is clearly because religious zealots can not be reasonable. Not ,and I stress this most vehemently, people of faith because there is a difference. Depends entirely on what you want to accomplish from your online presence.
I originally went with blogger but realised I wanted the flexibility to host my own videos, pictures and all sorts for all to see and I wanted to do it in my own way, so i ended up going with my own domain - hence i bought www.monkey-boy.co.uk from one.com.
If your just a "standard user" and dont want to do much more than an online diary, I see no point in paying for hosting. If you are a "power user" who is interested in designing your own graphical site etc go for your own hosting. one.com has some pretty cheap deals going right now too so its a good time to buy
(and no, I don't work for them :P )

However, if you want a music to play in blogger, you can go to www.iwebmusic.com, make an account there, upload a music file, and then copy the code that will be given to you. If you are using the new blogger, go to layouts, and then click add page elements, then choose HTML/Javascript. Put the code that was given to you, and there you go.
If not, you may go to radioblogclub.com, and choose the wide variety of songs there.

So, the Bass Blogger is lower gain and gives you a little more variation, while the Big Muff gives you more or less of "that" sound. If you want "that" sound, you need the Big Muff.... if you prefer something a little less extreme, then probably the Bass Blogger is for you.

i love 360 but yahoo has abandoned us and there's no tech support or fixes at all. multiply is good but doesn't have the heart yahoo does. myspace sucks and is virus prone with all those apps so be VERY careful !

Because of the cutting short of songs in the Imeem player, i have decided to embed the song i want from Youtube.
I see some of my friends in my blog use the whole HTML in youtube for their song, but the video is not visible, instead, only the player is visible. I am sure they made some codes to do that.
