I am interested in creating a Blogger.com account, but want to be able to restrict the people who can see it for privacy reasons (perhaps having people create usernames in order to see it or something). Is this possible on Blogger? If not, on any other free blog site?

Yes, you can have these security settings on blogger! Here is how to do it.
